Hobbs receives a ten year sentence on federal charges

Clifford Keith Hobbs, 48, Silex, was sentenced to 120 months in prison. Hobbs was convicted Nov. 7, 2012, of one felony count of attempt to persuade or coerce a minor to engage in sexual activity after a three-day trial before United States District Judge Audrey G. Fleissig.

This case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, St. Charles County Cyber Crime Unit and the Troy Police Department. Assistant United States Attorney Rob Livergood prosecuted the case for the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
