One down…two more to go

Shown on the left is Rodney Chatman, a players who's job is to get in and shoot, according to Indians Head Coach Ryan Parker. Something he has done quite well for the JV team and now varsity.

After winning their Conference title, following a big 63-23 win over Wright City on Friday, Feb. 15, there was only one thing left to do, prepare for Districts and make it through game one.

The Indians took on the Valle Catholic Warriors in round one of District play on Monday, Feb. 18. Although they won, 53-35, it didn’t come easy.

“Early on we talked about three goals going into that game,” explained Indians Head Coach Ryan Parker. “Three ways that Valle could beat us and one was from three point line, two was us being in foul trouble and three us deviating from the game plan.”

Parker went on to say how they were able to accomplish their first goal by only allowing Valle to score five three-point shots instead of the 10 Parker predicted it would take for Valle to win.
