Funeral Services for Wilma Irene Sullenger of Elsberry, were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. Her son, Rev. Thomas W. Sullenger, of Cape Girardeau and Rev. Paul Garven, pastor of United Methodist Church in Elsberry, officiated with burial in Elsberry City Cemetery near Elsberry. Serving as pallbearers were Sara Manion, Garry W. Stewart, Tim Sullenger, Dixie Williams, Kent Sullenger and Carter Manion. Honorary pallbearers were Kristen Manion, Emily Manion, Bob DeGeare, Jim Henry, Steve Bruckerhoff and Jim Holley.
Mrs. Sullenger, 84, died early Tuesday morning, Feb. 12, 2013 at her home. Born April 4, 1928 in Alma, NE, she was the daughter of Luther and Alice Marshal Heathers. She was united in marriage at the Fitzsimons Army Medical Center Chapel in Denver, CO to Murry William “Bill” Sullenger. This union was blessed with two children: Tom and Pam. She worked as a secretary and bookkeeper for Galloway Elevator, retiring in 1990. She was also a homemaker. She was a member of Smith Chapel United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Alice Heathers; four sisters: Lois Hughes, Dorothy Bond, Anna Richardson and Alene Raymer; and her beloved husband of 60 years, Bill Sullenger on Feb. 18, 2007.
Survivors include one son, Rev. Tom Sullenger and his wife, Candie, of Cape Girardeau; one daughter: Pam Stewart and her husband, Garry, of Elsberry; five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She also leaves two sisters: Emily Ballman and her husband, Jerome, of O’Fallon and Sylvia Rosserelli of Arvada, CO; one sister-in-law, Pat York of Louisiana; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation was held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, 2013 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.

Mildred Elizabeth Schellert of Winfield, died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013 at the age of 89.
Visitation will be on Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield and again on Friday, Feb. 22, 2013 from 9 a.m. until time of service at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church in Old Monroe.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m.
