The Lady Indians have had a hard time finding their groove since returning from holiday break and Monday’s game against the Orchard Farm Lady Eagles would showcase their dilemma even more after a 60-51 loss.
“We played neck to neck up until the last quarter,” said Lady Indians Head Coach Hector Bencomo. “It shouldn’t have gone the direction it did but that’s the way it went.”
According to Bencomo, the issue was they couldn’t finish the little baskets or the easy shots. Although they have shown the ability to score, Bencomo said at times they fail on the easiest shots, such as lay-ups.
“We can make the difficult shots but then all the sudden we get an uncontested shot and we fall apart,” said Bencomo. “We either come up to short or too hard and just not the characteristics of how we should be playing.”
