Big change comes down the pipe as Conger accepts transfer

Since 2004, Alliance Water Resources Manager Ron Conger has been an instrumental part in raising not only the quality of water in and throughout Elsberry but also in helping develop Page Branch Park, maintaining Elsberry Cemetery and helping maintain the streets and sewers. However, affective Monday, Jan. 7 a huge change was made in the services Conger will provide for the community, which is none.

Conger announced Thursday, Jan. 3 that he has accepted a transfer from Alliance’s Elsberry division to Alliance’s Saint Charles division, which covers approximately 400 square miles of service area in both Saint Charles and Warren Counties and has approximately 35,000 water

customers and serves a population in excess of 100,000.

“We are sad to see him go,” said Elsberry Mayor Terry Martin. “He has been a great asset to us and I wish him the best in his future ventures.”
