School Board for Elsberry R-II approves ballot resolution to borrow $4.5 million for upgrades

At the December Elsberry R-II School Board meeting the members of the board approved a resolution that would place Proposition 2, a resolution to borrow $4.5 million dollars for school upgrades, on the ballot.

The Lincoln County R-II Board of Education met in regular session at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 12, in the Elsberry R-II School Districts High School Library. Board members present were Kandi Kinsler, Alan Lagemann, Sean O’Brien, Mark Rhoades, Matt Jones and John Boedeker, along with Superintendent Tim Reller, Ed.D, Steve Hill, Toni Wankel, Jason Miller, Anne Anthony and two visitors.

School Board President Sean O’Brien called the meeting to order and recognized the visitors, allowing them the opportunity to speak before the board on any item not currently on the agenda.

As no changes to the agenda were needed, Rhoades moved and Jones seconded the motion to approve the consent agenda as presented. Consent agenda items include minutes of the Nov. 14 regular and executive session meeting and the payment of bills.
