The country was left in awe as 20 children and six teachers were tragically shot while school was in attendance, on Friday, Dec. 14 at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, CT.

Not only did the crazed gunman forever change the lives of all those families immediately affected by his actions, but also the lives of families all over, who now are left wondering, “What if that were my children?”

Elsberry R-II Superintendent Tim Reller, Ed.D said, “During times like this it is only natural to think of our children. As educators, we think of our students as well and what we are doing everyday to make sure they are safe. Please be assured safety is a top priority of the Elsberry School District and we have multiple safety measures in place to help prevent these types of horrible incidences.”
