On Wednesday, Nov. 21, groups of Elsberry High School students came together to make video history by filming “Scare up a Great Book,” this year’s theme for the grade 7-12 library. Sponsored by the EHS Literati Book Club, the young people created a celebration of reading set to Michael Jackson’s popular song Thriller. In keeping with the intent of the music, participants dressed and made up as zombies. Under the instruction of Tori Towery, EHS English Department, students learned steps to the dance and poses expected from zombies. “The students were great fun to work with, “commented Towery. Approximately 30 high schoolers committed to hours of lessons, practice, and performance.
