Elsberry police assist in high speed chase

Shown above was the scene moments following the crash into a utility pole while pursuing a motorcycle after reportedly doing speeds in access of 100 mile-per-hour.

At approximately 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 2 Foley Police Department was involved in a high-speed vehicle pursuit with approximately 20 street bikes, traveling at speeds in excess of 90 miles-per-hour, north bound on Hwy 79.

According to Elsberry Police Chief Robert Bodley, Foley Police requested assistance from Elsberry Police. At the time of request, one Elsberry Officer was posted in the area of Hwy 79 and South Elsberry City Limits, where he clocked the bikes running in access of 100 miles-per-hour or greater.
