A Memorial Service for Margaret Lucille Fisher of Elsberry, formerly of Colorado, will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, 2012 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry with Rev. Paul Garven officiating.
Ms. Fisher, 93, died Sunday morning, Nov. 25, 2012 at the Elsberry Health Care Center near Elsberry. Born Oct. 3, 1920 in Elsberry, she was the fifth child of Oscar and Kathryn “Kate” Krieg Hobbs. She was a 1938 graduate of Elsberry High School. After graduating from high School, she moved to Colorado and attended cosmetology school. She was employed for many years as assistant manager at Walgreens in Denver, CO, retiring in 1994. She returned to Troy in 1999 where she lived until she entered the Elsberry Health Care Center in 2007.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Kate Hobbs; two brothers: Taylor Hobbs and Battie “B.T.” Hobbs; four sisters: Winona Taylor, Doris Downing, Norma Brownfield and Barbara Brown.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews, many great-nieces and great-nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until time of the service at 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 30, 2012 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
