City approves three-year contract with Alliance after Mayor breaks tied vote

It has been said that if a person lets something go and it comes back then it was meant to be. However, for some Elsberry residents and Aldermen it may have been better left gone.

It was decided during the Oct. 9 City Council meeting to not renew the Alliance Water Resource contract but instead begin a bidding process for alternatives; one being the city taking over services themselves and another having Alliance draw up a three-year contract.
