Concerns of miscommunication became the focus on Tuesday, Sept. 11 as the Lincoln County Ambulance District and 911 Dispatch stood in front of Elsberry Alderman, during the Elsberry City Council’s monthly meeting, and asked why they received a bill for $3400.
When the Elsberry water project was in its early stages of construction, the old radio antennas had to be relocated. The cost of doing this was approximately $29,000, which was supposed to be a six way split between the City of Elsberry, LCAD, 911, Elsberry R-II School District and Fire Protection. However, according to a few of the parties involved no notification was given that these charges were coming. In fact, according to LCAD Chief of Operations Jim Holloway, the only notification he received was an invoice claiming they owed $3400.
