The Lincoln County Chapter of the American Bible Society will celebrate their 158th year starting at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 15 at the Mount Zion A.R. Presbyterian Church located at 861 Hwy V, which is just three-miles east of Hwy 61.
The evening will begin with a carry-in-meal and will be followed by special music at 7 p.m. The evening speaker will be Reverend Marcus Savern, pastor of the Covenant Family Church in Troy. Several other pastors, from area churches, will also be participating, as well as a brief report given from an American Bible Society Representative.
This year’s president, Louis Houston, will lead the business meeting and all churches are invited to attend.
