The Lincoln County Cupboard Board met at the pantry building March 22. Present were Chrissy Marshall, Harriet Serles, Ginny Patterson, Carole Lowry, Judy Palmer, Pat and Cecille Mesker, Glenda Martin, Rev. and Mrs. Conrad (Barbara) Cheatham, Jennifer Pritchett and Jane Spies. Several guests also attended the meeting.
Under old business, a thank you will be placed in The Elsberry Democrat regarding the generous outpouring of financial support and non-perishable donations from the community in response to the cupboardās needs. Members reported on individual efforts regarding fund-raising efforts. A discussion was held regarding the Trivia Night, scheduled for April 28, at the American Legion, with a starting time of 7 p.m.
Under new business, Martin reported that 16 Presidential Service Awards for 2011 have been ordered and should arrive soon. The board voted to purchase a computer bookkeeping system in order to help with all the paper work/tax forms involved in being a non-profit organization.
It was voted to increase the gas allowance given to those who drive to Operation Food Search and St. Louis Food Bank.
