An Annada man caught in the June drug bust across Pike County has been sent to state prison for 12 years.

John W. Harrison, 34, pleaded guilty to distributing methamphetamine near a school and was sentenced by Pike County Circuit Court Judge Chris Kunza Mennemeyer on Aug. 7.

The sentence will run concurrently with a four-year sentence Mennemeyer gave Harrison that same day after a guilty plea to driving with a suspended or revoked license.

According to court reports, an undercover agent bought methamphetamine from Harrison on May 8 at a Bowling Green residence.

The charge was enhanced because the $120 purchase was made at 1715 W. Church St., within 2,000 feet  of the Bowling Green Christian Academy and the Sunshine Day Care and Pre-School.
