Elsberry High School Receives HSTW Gold Improvement Award
Students at Elsberry High School participated in a variety of tests during the spring semester of 2014.
Many of these tests have been given for so many years now that they have become household words, most notably the Missouri Assessment Program [MAP], the ACT and the SAT.
In the midst of all of those other assessments, however, there was one that most people have probably never heard of and one that might not seem very important compared to state level and college placement testing.
That particular test is known as the High Schools That Work Assessment.
High Schools That Work, or HSTW, was established in 1987 by the Southern Regional Education Board [SREB] as a whole-school, research and assessment-based reform effort for grades 9 through 12.
