Ticks will be out in greater numbers in 2014
Anyone who has spent any time at all outdoors this spring knows that the ticks are already out in full force.
Most people were probably hoping that the long and harsh winter would prevent ticks and other bugs from being so bad this year.
It turns out the reverse is actually true.
According to a report put out by Integrated Pest Management [IPM] Services, the ticks overwintered in the soil deeply enough that they remained unaffected by the winter weather and in so doing they bought themselves extra breeding time as they patiently waited out the brutal cold.
