Ray Antonacci has  officially assumed his duties as the chief administrator of the Lincoln County Ambulance District.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in mass communications  with a minor in philosophy from Southeast Missouri State University.

He earned his paramedic certificate from St. Louis Community College and his Firefighter I and II from the St. Louis County Fire Academy.

He has worked as a state fire inspector, NIMS training, Hazmat awareness, swiftwater rescue technician, advanced Cardiac Life Support instructor, community risk issues and prevention.

Antonacci brings over 22 years of experience as a paramedic and firefighter.

He first went to work for the Monach  Fire District  in 2000.

He suffered a serious leg injury in a motorcycle accident in 2009.

He has worked for an urgent care center and as a public information officer.

“The district I have come to has an excellent reputation with high quality, caring professionals,” said Antonacci.

Among the challenges facing the Lincoln County Ambulance District is the continued growth of the county.

Among the district’s goals is to continue to reduce response time to bring critical care more rapidly.

”We will work with dispatchers, police, fire departments and the public,” said Antonacci.

Antonacci said he invites the public to come by the administration offices in Troy located on South Third Street and allow him to introduce himself and the district.
