Elsberry student Sam Marre has been selected to receive the President’s Volunteer Service Award at the 2013-2014 Renaissance Awards Banquet.

“Each year we are asked to nominate one student to complete an application for the Prudential Spirit Award,” said Elsberry High School Counselor Julie Basler. “We selected Samantha because we knew she was not only active with many community service projects through various organizations at school, but she has done many volunteer hours outside of school projects as well. She is always willing to help others and we were excited to nominate her for this great award and even more excited when she was chosen to receive recognition for her service hours. Samantha is a great example for her peers. She is very deserving of such recognition.”
