The Elsberry Lady Indians Soccer Team has already met one of its most important benchmarks for this year.

After last year’s winless season that saw the team fail to score even one goal, the girls went into this year’s schedule determined to score at least one goal and then move on from there.

That pinnacle was reached early in the season and now their next objective is to win at least one game.

In that spirit, the team traveled to Winfield on April 10 to face the Lady Warriors on their home turf.

Their effort ended in a 6-0 loss as Winfield scored two goals in the first half and another four in the second to shut the Lady Indians out.
