A lot can change in 30 years and the Elsberry IGA has certainly been no exception.

Don and Carol Phillips, co-owners of the Elsberry IGA, will be celebrating their 30th year in business during the week of April 7-11.

Don and his brother took over the store from its previous owners in 1984.

The store’s weeklong anniversary celebration will benefit patrons in a number of ways.

“We’ve got some very good buys next week,” said Phillips. “I’ve got some really good items that people can get for prices that are almost a steal.”

Phillips and his staff will also be giving out free cookies all week.

“They will be homemade if anyone wants to come in and try them,” said Phillips.

In addition, Shoppers will have the opportunity to enter three separate drawings for gift certificates.
