Eagles visit Hazel Pratt’s farm
A large number of eagles decided to pay a visit to the home of Hazel Pratt on March 6.
Pratt’s winged company began arriving early that morning and quickly made themselves quite comfortable on her partially frozen pond and in the trees nearby.
Despite the boldness displayed by these birds in dropping in unannounced and helping themselves to many of the fish from the pond, they proved to be very skittish when it came time to posing for photographs.
Time and time again the eagles would allow photographers only so close before suddenly vacating there various perches within Pratt’s trees and taking flight, either alone or in small groups.
These pictures provide just a small sampling of the many eagles that graced Pratt’s farm with their presence that day.
