New Elsberry Indians Baseball Head Coach Dustin Robinson is looking to play more of a small ball format this upcoming season.

Varsity baseball begins once again for the Elsberry R-II School District on March 25 with a 5:00 p.m. home game against Palmyra.

The Indians will be returning the majority of their players from last season, but they will still feel a slight void in the hitting department left by some of last year’s seniors such as Michael Ligon, Kyle Bange, Jay Ogden and Kyle Eisenbath.

“This year’s team lost the number three, four, five and six hitters in the lineup,” said Head Coach Dustin Robinson. “However, we’re bringing back a good core of players.”
