These days feeding the birds cost way more than “Tuppence A Bag”

Thanks to the efforts of Elsberry resident Scott Hawkins, the legions of birds that visit the Page Branch Park Bird Sanctuary will soon have a much larger food supply.

Hawkins, who is relatively new to Elsberry, has a special place in his heart for birds and has even built a bird sanctuary of his own behind his home.

After discovering that fellow Elsberry resident and bird lover Pat Mesker was taking care of the sanctuary at Page Branch Park largely on his own, Hawkins decided to enlist the help of several local businesses.
