Cheerleaders wrap-up a banner year
Elsberry Cheerleaders at the Bowling Green Tournament.
By all accounts this season has been one of the most successful in recent memory for the Elsberry High School Cheerleaders.
“This was one of my favorite years,” said Captain Paige Hoskins. “My squad was the best and we improved a lot in our stunts.”
Cheerleading sponsor Reagan Skaggs said Hoskins was really the one who took the reins this year.
“She found new stunts and new dances and she really added a new flavor to everything,” said Skaggs. “She was very focused on having the squad do harder things.”
With 11 girls coming out for cheerleading this year, Hoskins had quite a large squad to work with.
“We had four girls return from last year,” said Skaggs. “The rest was new talent and we really ended up with a lot of it. They were real go-getters and I enjoyed the group of girls I had this year.”
