Filing begins for August primary
Lincoln County political candidates began filing for the August primary last Tuesday, Feb. 25. Filing will continue through March 25.
The first day of filing for the August Primary election began last Tuesday with one local race shaping up.
In the race for Associate Circuit Judge (Div. III), Democrat Patrick S. Flynn and Republican Gregory Allsberry filed for the position.
Other candidates who have filed as of 11 a.m. on Feb. 27 include:
Circuit Clerk: Grace Sinclair, Democrat.
Prosecuting Attorney: Leah Wommack Askey, Democrat.
Presiding Commissioner: Dan Colbert, Republican.
County Clerk: Crystal Hall, Democrat.
Auditor: Barb Wehde, Republican,
County Collector: Jerry L. Fox, Democrat.
Recorder of Deeds: Dottie Crenshaw, Democrat.
Filing in Jefferson City, Edward Schieffer, Troy, has filed for the Democratic nomination and Jeanie Riddle, Mokane, as a Republican for State Senator in the 10th District.
There are three candidates for 41st State Representative, the seat being vacated by Schieffer (term limited).
They are Democrat Dan Dildine of Troy and Republicans Alexandra Salsman and James Randall Pietzman, both of Troy.
Filing continues through March 25.
