Indians capture third place at Bowling Green Tournament

After a slight delay courtesy of Mother Nature, the Elsberry Indians defeated the Bowling Green Bobcats to win third place in the Bowling Green Invitational Tournament.

After a slight delay courtesy of Mother Nature, the Elsberry Indians defeated the Bowling Green Bobcats to win third place in the Bowling Green Invitational Tournament.

Athletes are creatures of habit. Add on top of that teenage athletes and this past week was anything but normal for the Elsberry Indians.

It started Friday night with a long bus ride to Quincy, IL to play in the KHQA/Subway Superfan Shootout against host team Quincy Notre Dame.

This is the second year in a row that Elsberry has been invited to play in this two day event.

“It has been an honor for our program to compete at a great event at Quincy Notre Dame,” said Head Coach Ryan Parker.” “The last two years we have played two really good programs with rich histories.”
