Boedeker selected as a Dickinson Scholar at MU
Erin Boedeker of Elsberry was selected as a Dickinson Scholar at the University of Missouri College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources (CAFNR).
The Dickinson Scholars Program allows qualified upperclassmen to spend a week in January visiting with Kansas City agribusiness firms.
This experience provides an opportunity for students to clarify their career goals and see how the subjects they learn in the classroom apply in business settings.
“I am grateful for this opportunity to be a part of the Dickinson Scholars Program,” Boedeker said. “It is an essential step in meeting my future goals. Thank you to the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources at the University of Missouri for this opportunity.”
Boedeker, a 2011 graduate of Elsberry High School, is a junior at MU studying science and agricultural journalism.
She is also a student member of the National Association of Farm Broadcasting and the Agriculture Communicators of Tomorrow.
Boedeker is a communications intern with the Missouri Beef Industry Council. She is the daughter of Tom and Lori Boedeker.
MU is the largest and oldest university of the state’s major public, land-grant research institutions.
