Cuivre River employees donate to Bread for Life Food Pantry

Cuivre River Electric Cooperative employees joined forces to present non-perishable food items and $1,010 cash to the Bread for Life Food Pantry in Troy. The donations were raised though Cuivre River’s “Santa Claus for a Cause” fundraising events, such as chili lunches and blue jean days.

Bread for Life, which serves Lincoln County residents, is located at 820 Cap au Gris in Troy and can be reached at 636.528.3646. The pantry’s doors open every Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., except the last Wednesday of each month when hours run from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m.

Bread for Life is operated by the Greater Troy Ministerial Alliance, a group of churches representing several faiths throughout Lincoln County.

Cuivre River is the largest electric cooperative in Missouri, providing dependable electric service to over 60,000 homes and businesses. Currently 58 percent of Cuivre River members live in St. Charles County, 25 percent in Lincoln County, 15 percent in Warren County, and 2 percent in Pike County. Several members also live in Montgomery County.
