MSHP responds to separate accidents
On Sunday, Dec. 15 at approximately 7:50 a.m., Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop C responded to an accident involving a 2003 Chevy Malibu, driven by Amanda Always, 18, of Wentzville and a 2013 Dodge Durango driven by Douglas Gale, 39, of Winfield.
According to the crash report, Always was traveling southbound on North Chantilly when she failed to yield to Douglas, who was traveling eastbound on Hwy. 47. Always was struck on the right side of her vehicle. Both cars were declared totaled.
Always and Douglas were reported to have sustained moderate injury, while Callie Brda, 5, of Winfield, who was a passenger in the Durango suffered minor injury. All three were taken to St. Joseph Hospital West by Lincoln County Ambulance.
Then on Wednesday, Dec. 18 at approximately 7:55 a.m., Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop C responded to an accident involving a 1998 Chevrolet S-10, driven by Jeffery R. Pegg, 45, of Elsberry.
According to the crash report, Pegg was traveling south on Highway 79 and went off the roadway to the right. Pegg over corrected and his vehicle reentered the roadway. His truck then crossed both lanes of traffic and exited the roadway to the left where it overturned. Pegg suffered moderate injury and was taken to St. Joseph West Hospital by Lincoln County Ambulance.
