Recognized for life saving efforts

Elsberry City Police Sergeant Brian Jeffries (left) and Kennan Blair were recognized by the Lincoln County Ambulance District for their recent action during an emergency.  A Elsberry woman fell unconscious in her home and she had no heart beat. Blair first responded, administering CPR. When Jeffries arrived, he continued CPR until the fire department and ambulance arrived. Presenting the awards was Linda Freymuth, the district’s chief medical officer. “I am honored,” said Jeffries. “It is a great privilege to serve the people of Elsberry.”
