Lincoln County Fair Queen Pageant applications are now available for all interested candidates. Candidates must be 17-years-old but no older than 20 on July 1; they must also be female, legal residents of Lincoln County, or attend school in Lincoln County at the time of the contest.
The Miss Lincoln County Fair Queen Pageant will be open to the public on Saturday, July 6, at Bonfils Auditorium in Troy. The pageant begins at 6:00 p.m.
Candidates must be available on the following dates:
June 2 – Candidate Information meeting/ flower planting 4 p.m. at the Lincoln County Fairgrounds.
Saturday, June 8 – 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. – Choreography rehearsal – Bonfils Auditorium. Attendance is strongly encouraged as all choreography numbers will be taught.
June 6, 13, 20, 27 – Work nights at Bonfils Auditorium – 7 p.m. Attendance is at the discretion of the candidate.
Week of June 22 – KFAV/KWRE live radio interviews – 7 a.m.
July 5 – Dress rehearsal – Bonfils Auditorium, attendance is mandatory.
July 6 – Miss Lincoln County Fair Queen Pageant – Bonfils Auditorium. Candidates need to be ready to interview by 2 p.m. Pageant begins at 6 p.m.
July 7 – Lincoln County Fair Parade – approximately 4 p.m., attendance is mandatory.
A $125 entry fee to be paid by the sponsor is to accompany the entry forms with checks made payable to the Lincoln County Fair Board. Two pictures, either a 3×5, 4×5, or 4×6 vertical head shot, are to accompany the entry forms for the Miss Photogenic Contest and print publications. Miss Photogenic is judged in May, so appropriate pictures must be submitted with the entry papers. Once the pictures have been submitted, no substitutions will be allowed. Please submit original photographs of the same pose – no computer generated photographs! These pictures may or may not be returned.
All contestants are expected to attend the Lincoln County Fair and to wear their sponsor’s sash while in attendance at the fair.
Entries will be accepted in the order in which they are received. Contest is limited to the first 20 (twenty) contestants by postmark or date turned in. No late entries will be accepted. Deadline date is Friday, May 10, 2013. Entries must be postmarked no later than May 10 or turned into the Extension Office BEFORE closing at 5 p.m. Do not leave in the afterhours mailbox. No late registrations will be accepted.
